One Page Business Website Design Brief
As a freelance Administrative Assistant Lisa felt that getting her business and services online was the most important thing. Her business had recently gone through a restructure with the introduction of new services and support. It was imperative that this project had a quick turn-around time so Lisa could begin to hightlight her services to potential customers who were asking for links to her website.
The brief also included branding and simple logo design.
The Website Design Project
To get Lisa up and running as quickly as possible we suggested her business would benefit from a long scroll one page business website.
This particular layout for service based businesses is one of our more popular sellers. As with most service based businesses the content tends to be static and not likely to change very often. To this end, we introduced client testimonials throughout the page. These work well as section dividers, to add additional content and can be updated regularly to help with search engine optimisation, not to mention instill confidence in future clients.
When it came to the branding and design of the website Lisa wanted to ensure an air of professionalism but was also keen to bring her personality to the forefront.
To achieve this we used a subtle, yet professional, palette of blue and white. Bringing through some personality with the use of fonts and personal images in the "About Me" section.
Simple icons are used throughout to draw the eye to the important content on the web page and to encourage conversion. A contact form is also incorporated into the page for ease of contact.
What Lisa had to say out her website:
"I received a huge compliment today on it. I just signed a high profile QuickBooks Pro Advisor/Intuit Trainer as a client and she raved about my site, loved the layout and content, everything about it."
