The Website Redesign Project
The brief from PSRM Global Ltd was to do a complete redesign of their website. The project brief's main aim was to bring the website up to modern standards and ensure compatibility across all devises.
Furthermore, the project brief also involved migrating the website from WordPress.com to a WordPress.org theme. This involved migrating the new website to PSRM Global Ltd's own separately hosted domain.
The purpose of the website redesign was to give the website a more professional feel. PSRM Global Ltd are a world-wide business to business company, therefore it was essential the website reflect the professionalism and experience of PSRM Global Ltd.
Website Redesign Project Delivered
Eclipse Web Design & Development delivered to PSRM Global Ltd a newly designed 8 page, responsive website.
The website now works across all devices and reacts to screen sizes. User experience and search engine optimisation is greatly improved due to this added functionality.
The original website was hosted on WordPress.com. Therefore, part of the project involved moving the site to a new host and setting up WordPress.org as the content management system (CMS).
Before being transferred to the live domain, the new website was initially built offline. As a result of this, we were able to keep the original site live during the redesign process.
The website was built using the Perth WordPress theme. This theme was then customised to suit the company logo, branding and desired layout.
The introduction of a clearly defined Home page and main menu navigation makes the content easier to read and navigate through.
The addition of clear CTAs (call to action) buttons to each page will help to improve click-through and conversion rates. They also help to improve site navigation.
The WordPress.com blog page was also moved over to the new website. As a result, this will help to keep the content of the website regularly refreshed. The blog will also provide a platform for PSRM Global Ltd to engage with current and future clients.
The colour palette of the greens and grays was taken from the original logo design provided. These colours were used to ensure brand consistency. The colours also give the website a clean, clear, professional look.
